parable 4

 community continues to be a deep, central theme about parable. and for good reason. i talked about it before, but also, i want to talk about the power of community buy-in into ideas. that's definitely a big theme that parable is majorly concerned with. (god, i really like this book, but i'm sorry that my posts are never actually about it!! i have too much to say and think and go on tangents). because when you have an idea like Earthseed, and you parade it around and show it to people, it can be scary. it can be scary to have an idea that you feel deep inside you and give it to others because then it feels exposed. and maybe that's not on the tracks of what parable wants to do here at all, but its still something that feels very real. like me, here, talking about these ideas on the blog. sheesh.
